Link between head injury and Parkinson’s Disease:

BM&L and Mayo Clinic

At “Brain Mind & Life” the relationship between head injury and the onset of Parkinson’s Disease has long been discussed and evaluated, this month our attention was focused on the risk for people with more severe head injury as showed in a recent study

directed by James Bower at Mayo Clinic.

The work, published in the last May 20 issue of Neurology, shows strong evidences for the link, yet even if it shows the increased risk, it doesn’t show causality. The article references are also interesting for a debate on methods.
